"Hidden features cannot be auto-activated across scopes .. SharePoint 2010

In SharePoint 2010 you might run into an issue when activating the Publishing feature fro one of your subsites.

Well the error
Hidden features cannot be auto-activated across scopes....The feature being activated is a Site scoped feature which has a dependency on a Site Collection scoped feature which has not been activated
.... this simply means that you have to activate the "SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure feature" on your Top level Site collection .. that's it
