Connections or SharePoint? What do you prefer for Social Networking

My company today deployed Connections yes "IBM Connections" though we heavenly use Sharepoint.
SharePoint as all says is not a Social tool but here is the latest case studies published by Microsoft about three companies who implemented SharePoint Build Productive Social Networks.

Check out this stuff it looks promissing. I hope to see more social integration in vNext of SharePoint.
