WebProvisioned event receivers scopes SPSite.EventReceivers vs SPWeb.EventReceivers

While creating a WebProvisioned event receiver there is a difference between scoping it a site\web or site collection.

If you scope your receiver to a SPSite it will be called for every sub-site created in the site collection.

If you scope your receiver to SPweb or web it will be called only for the sub-sites that are immediate children of the site in whose EventReceivers collection the receiver is added.
